By law, all food businesses – including catering, retail and manufacturing – must have an effective food safety management system in place. This Level 2 HACCP online course will introduce learners to the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points management system and help you to understand how to comply with the law, how to work safely and efficiently and what each crucial step of the HACCP implementation process entails. This course has been designed to introduce people involved in the manufacturing, processing, and production of food to the principles of HACCP.
By the end of the course learners will have a thorough understanding of why HACCP is important, knowledge of the importance of having effective prerequisites in place, how the 7 HACCP principles can be implemented and what can be done to identify food safety hazards and to ensure the food handled in their business remains safe for the consumer.

- Outline and explain the seven principles of HACCP
- Identify the benefits of applying a HACCP system
- Carry out good hygiene practices, including scheduled cleaning and stock rotation

- Outline the Food Safety Act 1990 and how this relates to implementing a food safety management system

It’s recommended that learners who have not previously taken a Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene course do so alongside this Level 2 HACCP course.
If you’re a manager or a supervisor of a food business then you should take our Level 3 HACCP course.
Assessment:
Upon completion of the course, learners will complete an end of learning assessment consisting of 20 questions. 70% of the questions will need to be answered correctly in order to pass and receive a certificate.
If you don't pass the test first time, don't worry, you can take the test as many times as you need with no extra charge.

This eLearning is accessed through a dedicated learner portal. Your course material is presented in an interactive and easy to follow presentation enabling you to study at your own pace.
The course is divided into simple sections with a short quiz at the end of each to test your knowledge. Once you have progressed through each of the course sections you can complete an end of course quiz which consists of multiple-choice questions based on the material that you have studied.
Once you have completed your eLearning you'll be able to download your fully accredited CPD certificate (PDF format) directly from your learning account.
