In the UK, duties are imposed on responsible people in businesses by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 in England and Wales, the Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006, and the Fire Safety Regulations (Northern Ireland). All employers, owners, landlords, or occupiers of business or non-domestic premises are known as the ‘responsible person’.
Regulation 21 of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 states that the responsible person in a workplace ‘must ensure that [their] employees are provided with adequate safety training (a) at the time when they are first employed; and (b) on their being exposed to new or increased risks.’
This fire safety awareness training course will help your business comply with this legal requirement to provide staff with training. It is suitable for anyone at any level, no matter what industry you work in, from employees to managers and full-time to part-time staff.
If you are in charge of fire risk assessments and overseeing evacuation procedures, such as a fire warden, you will need to receive a higher level of training than this course provides, as well as practical training in using firefighting equipment.
Assessment: Upon completion of the course, learners will complete an end of learning assessment consisting of 20 questions. 70% of the questions will need to be answered correctly in order to pass and receive a certificate.
If you don't pass the test first time, don't worry, you can take the test as many times as you need with no extra charge.

- Fire-related signage and symbols
- Actions to take on discovering a fire
- Actions to take on hearing the alarm
E-Learning Format
This eLearning is accessed through a dedicated learner portal. Your course material is presented in an interactive and easy to follow presentation enabling you to study at your own pace.
The course is divided into simple sections with a short quiz at the end of each to test your knowledge. Once you have progressed through each of the course sections you can complete an end of course quiz which consists of multiple-choice questions based on the material that you have studied.
Once you have passed the course you can download your fully accredited CPD certificate (PDF format) directly from your learning account.

If you don't pass the first time, don't worry, you can resist the test as many times as required - until you pass.
