APM PFQ is the knowledge based, introductory qualification awarded by the Association for Project Management (APM); formerly known as the APM Introductory Certificate (APM IC).

Association for Project Management (APM) was formed in 1972 in the UK to support project professionals through its qualification and membership scheme. APM has over 30,000 individual members and more than 500 organisations participating in their Corporate Partnership Programme, making APM the largest professional body for project management in Europe.

APM is now the chartered body for project professionals and the APM PFQ is the first qualification required to earn the chartered status.

The APM Body of Knowledge forms the basis of the APM Qualifications. It defines the boundaries of project, programme and portfolio management and the functions undertaken as part of these endeavours.   • Have sufficient knowledge to sit the APM PFQ exam.

Course Assessment Process

To earn your APM-PFQ qualification from APM, you will need to study this e-learning and achieve a passing mark for the APM Project Fundamentals exam.

Exam Format

The APM PFQ exam is a 1 hour, closed book, multiple choice examination. Delegates have to answer 60 questions and score a minimum of 36 marks to pass (60%).

The APM PFQ examination is available online. You can book your examination at a time to suit you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 360 days a year.

To prepare for your APM-PFQ exam, we provide you with a mock exam at the end of your course to ensure you're fully prepared for the real thing. Once you're consistently achieving a high score, you'll be ready to book your exam either through us or as a private candidate.
